Tell your legislators to oppose The FAIR Labels Act, a bill that would make it harder for consumers to find vegan foods by restricting familiar terms like "veggie burger" and "plant-based chicken." Backed by lawmakers who openly describe themselves as "pro-ribeye," the bill is designed to protect meat sales, not help shoppers.

Cows, pigs, and chickens form close bonds with each other and their human caretakers, mourn the death of loved ones, and defend their young from predators. Meanwhile, billions of them continue to suffer on farms and endure a terrifying death at the slaughterhouse. Replacing clear, familiar food labels with burdensome restrictions could hurt animals more by making compassionate choices harder to spot and understand.
Please urge your U.S. representative and senators to reject the FAIR Labels Act. Consumers already understand vegan food labels. Congress shouldn't make kinder foods harder to find to benefit the meat industry.
