Canton Grand Safari has a well-documented history of confining animals in dangerous, miserable conditions and endangering public and animal safety. Inspection reports reveal a hyena fatally attacking ostriches, primates used in dangerous public displays, hazardous enclosures, and even a guest bitten during a hyena encounter. After numerous animal-welfare violations the United States Department of Agriculture took the rare step of suspending the roadside zoo’s license, but unfortunately, it’s back up and running.

Canton Grand Safari’s record speaks for itself, and its owners shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near animals, much less permitted to exploit wild animals like hyenas and primates in dangerous public encounters.
Use the form below to help us urge Canton Grand Safari to immediately end all public encounters and transfer the animals to reputable facilities where they could finally get the care they need. These changes are urgent and long overdue.
