At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Toyota Stadium, highly intelligent and social dolphins are forced to perform demeaning tricks for public entertainment. By sponsoring the stadium, Toyota is lending its name to dolphin abuse, despite knowing how deeply the animals suffer.

At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, dolphins are confined to cramped, shallow tanks, forced to perform tricks in shows where trainers sometimes stand on their faces, and are subjected to cruel and dangerous swim-with-dolphins encounters, during which visitors grab and hold onto them. The park also has a lengthy history of citations for violating the federal Animal Welfare Act, including a critical citation related to poor water quality that contributed to the deaths of two young dolphins.
Nearly every major online travel company—including Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor—prohibits ticket sales to venues that offer dolphin interactions or performances. TripAdvisor even flags Six Flags Discovery Kingdom as a facility that “does not meet animal welfare guidelines.” Please use the form below to urge Toyota to reconsider its future affiliation with Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
