Pigeons and dogs—there's no important difference between the two. They're both charming and intelligent beings. Just like humans and dogs, pigeons feel joy, fear, excitement, and pain, and they value their lives. The only thing separating pigeons and puppies is speciesism. Pigeons have a culture, can be superstitious, partner for life, and are wonderful parents. These complex, intelligent animals just have a bad rap. So, let's give them a public relations makeover. Protect sky puppies by pledging never to tolerate seeing kids chase them, to stick up for them when other humans try to harm them, and to protect them from cats. Also, call pigeons "sky puppies" whenever you can, and encourage your friends and family to do so as well! By taking our pledge, you'll be sending a powerful message to the world by stating that pigeons deserve our respect and to live out their lives free from human scrutiny, just like all other animals.
