More than 45 pizza chains now have vegan cheese, and many—including Pieology, zpizza, Fresh Brothers, Picazzo's Organic Italian Kitchen, Pizza Lucé, and Blaze Pizza—offer other tasty animal-free toppings, such as vegan pepperoni, chorizo, and sausage. But many places—such as California Pizza Kitchen, Marco's Pizza, and Hungry Howie’s—still don't offer any vegan cheese or meat options for their pizzas. It's time that these chains got with the times and started offering vegan options!

More people than ever before are going vegan—and for good reason: Cows raised for the dairy industry are intensively confined and treated like milk machines. Cows produce milk for the same reason that humans do—to nourish their young—but calves on dairy farms are taken away from their mothers when they're just 1 day old.

More than 50 popular pizza chains—including Blaze Pizza, UNO Pizzeria & Grill, Mellow Mushroom, and Pieology—offer vegan cheese and other animal-free toppings, such as tempeh and meat-free sausage and pepperoni. More people than ever are seeking out vegan options in order to help animals and the environment or to improve their own health. In fact, vegan meat sales have been growing 158% year on year and shot up 454% during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cows raised for their milk are confined in filthy, severely crowded conditions and artificially inseminated again and again so that humans can take the milk that was intended to nourish the calves. Male calves are often sold for veal, and females are turned into milk machines like their mothers.

There’s never been a better time to cater to the millions of people who have embraced vegan living, and your lack of vegan offerings is putting you behind your competitors. Please offer vegan cheese and meat toppings for your pizzas!
