Despite Orca Deaths, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow Plan to Perform at SeaWorld—Take Action!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

More than 40 orcas have already died at SeaWorld—many far short of their natural life expectancy—and 18 others are still suffering at the parks. Yet Soulja Boy and Bow Wow are planning to perform at SeaWorld San Diego’s Summer Spectacular event.

In nature, orcas, bottlenose dolphins, and beluga whales maintain dynamic relationships in large social networks and swim free in the ocean. While most of the world is waking up to the fact that orcas at SeaWorld go insane from stress and loneliness in cramped concrete tanks and that other dolphins and whales are still being forcibly bred—sometimes after being drugged—artists who support the cruel company help it profit from its speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview.

Many major artists—including Jason Derulo, Barenaked Ladies, Cheap Trick, Willie Nelson, and Trisha Yearwood—have canceled their performances at the abusement park. Please contact Soulja Boy and Bow Wow and urge them to follow the lead of other compassionate performers who have chosen not to associate with SeaWorld.
