Despite Dolphin Deaths, Jordin Sparks, Bow Wow, and Others Plan to Perform at SeaWorld—Take Action!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

More than 400 dolphins have already died at SeaWorld—many far short of their natural life expectancy—and over 130 others are still suffering at the parks, crammed into just seven small tanks. Yet Jordin Sparks, Bow Wow, and other artists plan to perform at SeaWorld Seven Seas Food Festival and its Summer Spectacular Concert Series.

In nature, bottlenose dolphins maintain dynamic relationships in large social networks, choose their own mates, and swim free in the ocean, but dolphins at SeaWorld are still being forcibly bred—sometimes after being drugged. Artists who support the cruel company help it profit from its speciesism—a human-supremacist worldview.

Many major artists—including Jason Derulo, Barenaked Ladies, Cheap Trick, Willie Nelson, and Trisha Yearwood—have canceled their performances at the abusement park. Send polite comments to The Fray at [email protected], Uncle Kracker at [email protected], Bow Wow at [email protected] and ask them to rethink propping up dolphin abuse.

Then, use the form below to contact representatives of Jordin Sparks, the Ying Yang Twins, Boyz II Men, Skillet, and Phillip Phillips, urging them to follow the lead of other compassionate performers who have chosen not to associate with SeaWorld.
