What is the Investigations & Rescue Fund?

The Investigations & Rescue Fund is a special monthly giving program that provides PETA with financial support for its groundbreaking investigations and lifesaving rescue work. This vital fund allows PETA to respond immediately when animals are in need and helps provide our investigators with the resources that they need to expose and stop hideous abuse of animals that happens out of the public eye.

Members commit to a modest amount every month, which provides year-round support for this urgent work for animals.

How does it work?

It's easy! Simply choose your monthly gift and enter your billing information on our secure website. We'll charge your credit card or debit your checking account for this amount at the same time each month.

Who are Investigations & Rescue Fund members?

Supporters of the Investigations & Rescue Fund are committed individual people, like you, who want to ensure that PETA has the resources it needs to maintain and expand this vital part of its work for animals. Investigations & Rescue Fund donors know that through their monthly gift, they're helping to fund investigations that save animals' lives.

What exactly does the fund do?

It provides PETA with the resources to seek out and train a top-notch team of investigators, help them document incidents of cruelty, stop animal suffering, remove animals and transport them to safety, and take action to hold perpetrators accountable.

What are the benefits of membership in the Investigations & Rescue Fund?

Investigations & Rescue Fund supporters receive all the benefits of PETA membership, including a subscription to our informative magazine, PETA Global. However, as long as you're an active Investigations & Rescue Fund supporter, your membership in PETA is always current.

In addition, PETA has a dedicated staff member to address any questions, concerns, or issues that may come up as a part of your participation in the program.

Can I cancel or change at any time?

Yes. Participation in the Investigations & Rescue Fund is at your discretion. You can go online and change your monthly amount, or cancel, at any time.

Chloe

When a PETA investigator spotted Chloe, she was one of 1,000 chinchillas confined to barren wire cages in a filthy old shed reeking of ammonia at a breeding facility that sold animals to pet stores and laboratories. Chloe’s teeth had become so severely overgrown that they were curling back into her cheek, but the breeder refused to seek treatment for her and many other sick and injured chinchillas. PETA’s investigator rushed Chloe to a veterinarian, and after her recovery with much TLC, she was adopted by a kind family. She settled in quickly, discovering toys and tunnels, enjoying dust baths, and making soft, happy chirps for the first time.
