URGENT: Animals in El Paso Need Your Help!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

PETA has received disturbing reports, including photographs and news reports, alleging that animals are being cruelly warehoused and are dying violently and painfully at the El Paso Animal Services Center. Last winter, at least four dogs reportedly died during extremely low temperatures after being moved to outdoor kennels and a barn, which were built by the city's shelter in an attempt to "save more lives." At the time, we contacted El Paso's mayor and city council, calling for an investigation and stronger policies, and offered our assistance to make needed changes. We received no response.

Recently, we've begun receiving additional complaints and gruesome photos showing animals who allegedly died unassisted at the facility, including those who died alone in cages and dogs who were crowded together, resulting in deadly fights. Please join us in demanding an investigation into these serious and disturbing allegations. Read PETA's letter sent in August asking for a criminal investigation here and another, sent in October, here.

Please click below to send an e-mail to El Paso city and county officials today. Urge them to take action to ensure that a thorough investigation is undertaken into the allegations that have been shared with them. Also, demand the immediate implementation of best practices and policies at the facility to protect lost, homeless, and abused animals who rely on the shelter to keep them safe.
