Carden Circus: Elephants and Tigers Are Not Circus Props!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

While talented tightrope walkers, trapeze artists, contortionists, acrobats, fire-eaters, and others continue to perform dazzling shows at thriving, progressive human-only circuses such as Circus Vargas and Cirque Italia, Carden Circus is still exploiting elephants, tigers, camels, and other animals.

Carden Circus is one of several similarly named companies, all run by members of one notorious family that has a lengthy history of violating the federal Animal Welfare Act. Members of the family have been cited for failing to provide an elephant who had open wounds with proper veterinary care and confining tigers to a transport cage for 23 hours a day.

Animals used in circuses endure a lifetime of physical and psychological abuse. They've been conditioned to fear and obey trainers through the use of whips, bullhooks, and other weapons. Opposition to the use of animals for entertainment is stronger than ever before, so unless Carden Circus wants to endure the same fate as the now-defunct Ringling Bros. circus, it will need to go animal-free.

Please join PETA in urging Carden Circus to nix its cruel animal acts.
