At marine parks, orcas live in cramped concrete tanks. With no physical, mental, or emotional stimulation, they spend their days swimming in endless circles. Despite being fully aware of the cruel treatment of animals at these abusement parks, travel company TUI—formerly known as Thomson Holidays—continues to sell tickets to SeaWorld and Spain’s Loro Parque.

More than 40 orcas have died at SeaWorld—many far short of their natural life expectancies—from causes such as bacterial infections and fractured skulls. Hundreds of other dolphins, whales, and other animals have died at the parks, too. The surviving animals are often housed in incompatible groups, and because of their cramped enclosures, they're unable to escape attacks from other frustrated, aggressive animals.
Following his involvement with PETA UK’s campaign that led Jet2holidays to cut ties with cruel marine parks, musician and activist Morrissey sent a letter to TUI’s leadership, urging the company to follow the lead of the dozens of other businesses—including Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Virgin Holidays—that have already severed ties with abusement parks.
Please urge TUI to end its partnerships with SeaWorld and Loro Parque!
