Tell This Boys & Girls Club to Stop Supporting Abuse of Wild Piglets

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

At the Bandera Ham Rodeo in Texas, wild piglets and other young pigs are chased, tackled, dragged around an arena, and terrorized. Last year, many were so frightened that they jumped face-first into metal fencing in an attempt to escape. Despite knowing that this violent event sends a dangerous message to children, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bandera County continues to benefit from it.

Pigs are highly intelligent, inquisitive, sensitive, and social animals, and feral pigs are naturally afraid of humans. But at the Bandera Ham Rodeo, these animals were kicked; grabbed by the ears, tail, or snout; lifted off the ground by their legs; and shoved into sacks. This cruel spectacle causes them extreme distress.

Instead of teaching kids about compassion, this event encourages kids to scare, harm, torment, and bully animals. Please urge the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bandera County to cut ties with the Bandera Ham Rodeo!
