SeaWorld was once named one of the most hated brands in America, so why is a Christmas classic teaming up with it? Character Arts, the company that manages the rights to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, is partners with SeaWorld—which means that the disgraced park can use the iconic characters from the children's favorite to lure kids through the gates of its cruel facilities.
Children would run kicking and screaming from SeaWorld if they knew how animals suffer there. More than 40 orcas have died at an average age of 14, while free-roaming female orcas can live to be over 100. Hundreds of other dolphins, whales, and other animals have died at the parks, too. Dolphins don't naturally let humans ride on their backs or stand on their faces in cruel circus-style shows, and orcas would never choose to live in cramped chemically treated tanks.
Dozens of businesses—including Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Virgin Holidays—have already severed ties with the abusement park, yet Character Arts has refused to do the right thing. Please urge it to end its partnership with SeaWorld!
