Jay Owenhouse: Tigers Don’t Belong in Magic Shows!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Jay Owenhouse’s magic acts are already filled with astonishing illusions and breathtaking human talent, yet he continues to exploit tigers in his shows. Most recently, he set his sights on Las Vegas and sought permission to cage tigers near the Strip for shows there—only to nix those plans following a groundswell of opposition. Other magicians. such as Kirby VanBurch and Rick Thomas, have retired big cats from their shows—and it’s time Owenhouse followed suit!

When Netflix’s Tiger King captured the world’s attention, it revealed the atrocities of roadside zoos and the cub-petting industry. Owenhouse’s magic act is connected to that abuse, as he obtained the tigers from Bhagavan “Doc” Antle, one of the notoriously cruel tiger breeders exposed in the series. Antle is currently facing wildlife-trafficking charges.

In nature, big cats have home ranges of hundreds of miles, in which they climb, swim, and raise their young. Using them in traveling shows—for which they’re sentenced to miserable, deprived lives inside cages and trailers—sacrifices the animals’ well-being in exchange for human profit and entertainment. This is a form of speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview.

Shoshana has a very gentle spirit and she is a big quality time girl who also Loves to cuddle ❤️

Please urge Owenhouse to leave animals out of all future shows and retire them to a reputable sanctuary.
