Have you ever seen how animals suffer when they're caught on a glue trap? Some of the cruelest devices on the market, glue traps consist of a board coated with an extremely sticky adhesive designed to ensnare any small animal who wanders across or lands on them.

As animals struggle to escape, patches of skin, fur, and feathers are torn from their bodies. Some even chew off their limbs in an attempt to escape, while those whose faces become stuck in the glue can take hours to suffocate. Consumers are generally directed to throw trapped but living animals into the trash along with the trap, leaving them to suffer for days until they die from starvation, dehydration, or stress.

Albertsons Companies —one of the largest food and drug retailers in the U.S.— operates Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, and many other stores and had once stopped selling glue traps. But it has since broken its promise to ban the traps and is again complicit in animals' horrific deaths. Make sure that the retailer knows this by sending a letter via the form below and pledging not to shop at any of its stores until it bans glue traps.
