Vegan burgers are turning up everywhere, from Burger 21, Denny's, Freddy's, and Johnny Rockets to Red Robin, TGI Friday's, White Castle, and more. Yet Sonic Drive-In is missing from this growing list.

According to Nielsen, "[R]etail sales of plant-based foods intended to replace animal products rose 8.1 percent since last year." When BurgerFi announced that it was adding Beyond Meat's Beyond Burger to all of its 101 locations, its CEO said, "Since we launched the product in early July, the reception has been incredible. The demand has far exceeded our expectations in this relatively short period of time."

And Sonic shouldn't stop there. It can join Ben & Jerry's, Breyers, Häagen-Dazs, Red Mango, TCBY, and others in offering vegan ice cream. Right? Right!

Sonic, please catch up with the times and add a vegan burger to your menu. Better yet, don't stop there—please also add vegan ice cream. Everyone knows that dairy consumption is declining while dairy-free alternatives are on fire, seeing a 20 percent growth spurt over the last year, as Forbes reports.
