Elephants are some of the world's most awe-inspiring animals. They're also among the most abused when they're forced to entertain the public.
When used as tourist attractions, elephants live under the constant threat of punishment and are routinely kept chained. Camps that exploit these animals for interactions with tourists send a dangerous message about the acceptable way to treat wildlife and drive demand for an abusive industry that causes animals tremendous suffering.
Despite learning of the abuse that elephants endure in camps around the world, travel-booking giant Priceline.com is still allowing bookings to exploitative camps.
Please join me in asking the company to catch up to its competitors and stop allowing bookings to camps that exploit elephants.
