Help PETA Keep Free End-of-Life Assistance Available to Those in Need

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved animal companion. We’re honored that you asked PETA’s animal shelter to provide your last act of kindness for them.

PETA’s free end-of-life assistance program is here to help people do the right thing for their animals. As you know, in private veterinary practice, euthanasia and cremation can cost hundreds of dollars and—now more than ever due to the veterinary workforce shortage—it can take weeks or months to secure an appointment.

Believe it or not, there are people who campaign and lobby to end PETA’s ability to perform euthanasia and provide this vital service. They compare our euthanasia rate to rates of shelters that refuse entry to unadoptable animals and those in need of euthanasia. Our statistics are what they are because we never turn away an animal in need. PETA will never prioritize statistics over individual animals’ welfare and safety.

If you have a moment, please send a note in support of PETA’s program to your state delegate and senator to help safeguard our ability to keep our doors open. We have provided sample language, but please personalize your message in memory of your loved one. Thank you for helping to protect our ability to help families in their time of need.
