After years of massive pressure from PETA and other activists—including after hearing from more than 90,000 of our members and supporters worldwide—the department store chain Winners, which is owned by TJX Companies, is going fur-free. This latest ban marks TJX Companies' transition to being 100% fur-free at all of its 4,500 locations around the world. This move will prevent countless animals from being confined on filthy fur farms before being gassed or electrocuted. It will prevent countless others from getting caught in painful steel traps in which they can suffer for days from blood loss, dehydration, and injuries before being shot, bludgeoned, or killed in some other violent way.
However, TJX Companies, including T.J.Maxx, still refuses to ban cruelly obtained angora. Take action now for rabbits abused for their coats!

Rabbits are gentle, social animals with individual personalities. In nature, they live underground in extensive, complex burrows. But in the angora industry, workers stretch rabbits across boards or suspend them in the air and violently rip their fur out while they scream in pain and terror. The sharp cutting tools inevitably wound them as they struggle desperately to escape. They're subjected to this ordeal every few months for years until they're killed, often when their throats are slit.
TJX Companies is well aware of this cruelty, yet it continues to sell angora in its U.S. and Canadian stores—including T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, HomeSense, Sierra, and Winners.
Nearly 430 major retailers around the world have dropped angora because its production is so unethical. Using animals for their fur is a form of speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview, but all sentient beings deserve to be treated with respect and compassion. And although TJX Companies has banned fur at all of its retailers, it has refused to ban angora. Please help animals suffering right now by urging TJX Companies to stop supporting the cruel angora industry.
