Urge Coach to Extend Fur Ban to Mohair and Angora!

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

After more than 11 years of pressure from PETA and our supporters, Coach has announced that it's joining the ever-growing list of fur-free brands and retailers. Now, it's time for the company to ban cruelly obtained mohair and angora wool as more than 300 other retailers have done.

Abuse is rampant in the mohair and angora industries. A PETA eyewitness exposé found that countless goats endured a violent and bloody shearing process for mohair. Workers dragged the animals by their legs, threw them across the floor, and haphazardly mutilated them. One worker cut two goats' throats with a dull knife while they were fully conscious. And a PETA Asia eyewitness visited almost a dozen rabbit farms in China—the source of 90 percent of the world's angora—and found rabbits screaming in pain and terror as workers ripped their fur out. Following this barbaric ordeal, which the rabbits endured every three months, the animals lay motionless inside tiny, filthy cages, stunned and in shock. Some seemed unable to move.

Coach banned fur because, as its CEO said, "it's the right thing to do." Please thank the company for taking this compassionate step and urge it to stop supporting horrific abuse of goats and rabbits by banning mohair and angora as well.
