Demand that Mexican Officials Protect Bulls from Cruel Exploitation

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Bullfighting is an antiquated display of violence and cruelty from a time when humans understood very little about animals and their needs. Bullfighting is not “culture”; It’s torture. These intelligent, sentient beings are subjected to a terrifying spectacle of suffering and pain before being brutally killed, all for the short-lived entertainment of the audience.

A federal court in Mexico ordered the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) and its subagency Senasica, Mexico’s food safety agency, to inspect all bullfights in the country for violations of the federal Animal Health Law and regulations for killing methods of domesticated and wild animals, as it is their responsibility to protect the welfare of the animals and impose sanctions. To this day, the secretariat has not fulfilled its duty.

Please use the form below to urge senior government officials at SADER to take immediate action.
