In the wool industry, abuse runs rampant. PETA entity investigations have exposed workers punching, kicking, and stomping on sheep, hitting them in the face with electric clippers, and standing on their heads and limbs. At facilities falsely labeled as “humane,” workers threw gentle animals down chutes like trash, sliced them during shearing, and threw and beat them. Near identical abuse was witnessed at non-certified farms, proving that no matter how it’s marketed, wool is a product of violence against sheep.
Sheep are intelligent, emotionally complex beings who, like all animals, feel pain, fear, and loneliness, yet the wool industry exploits them as mere commodities.
Companies like Lands’ End, L.L. Bean, Talbots, and Bombas must stop selling wool and help put an end to this cruelty. Use the form below to urge these companies to choose kindness—not cruelty—by refusing to sell wool!
