Terrified Animals in Ukraine Need You. Send an Emergency Relief Package.

For nearly three years, animals in Ukraine have been struggling to survive a war they didn’t start. As temperatures plunge, PETA-supported rescuers are risking their lives to save sick, injured, and abandoned animals and transport them to safety. Many rescued animals are now being nursed back to health at a new PETA-supported sanctuary, but we need more resources.

Feb. 24 is the third anniversary of the invasion, and we must raise $48,000 in 48 hours to help animals in crisis. Will you help by sending an emergency relief package right now?

Your virtual relief package will help PETA’s Global Compassion Fund power the work of teams in Ukraine and elsewhere.

Bank Routing & Account Numbers

To make a payment directly from your U.S. bank account, you will need to provide the routing number for your bank, as well as your account number. Both of these numbers can be found at the bottom of a check issued for your bank account.

At the bottom of your check you will find three numbers - the routing number which is always 9 digits long for U.S. banks, the account number which can be up to 17 digits long, and the check number which will match the number found in the upper right corner of the check. These sets of numbers can appear in a variety of orders on your check. However, you will always find the routing number surrounded by this symbol ACH Routing Symbol, and the account number will always be to the left of this symbol ACH Account Symbol.

Please use the image below for an example of how your routing and account numbers may appear on your check.

Sample Check:

The routing number comes first and is surrounded by the ACH Routing Symbol symbol, the account number comes next and is followed by the ACH Account Symbol symbol.

The CVV2 is shown as 3 digits after the credit card number on the back of the card.

How can an emergency relief package change an animal’s life?

Teams supported by PETA’s Global Compassion Fund are helping animals in areas devastated by war, natural disasters, and other tragedies right now. Your relief package will boost their critical work, providing them with the resources needed to deliver lifesaving veterinary care, food, supplies, and other necessities in regions where animals may have no other hope.

Butch Before

PETA-supported rescuers found Butch cowering in the ruins of Bakhmut, Ukraine—a city devastated by relentless shelling. He was emaciated, covered with mange, and too terrified to move. Butch desperately needed help. As one of the rescuers lifted the frail dog and carried him to safety in his arms, Butch started to whimper.

Butch After

The rescue team brought Butch back to their clinic in Kharkiv and, thanks to the support of PETA’s Global Compassion Fund, nursed him back to health. At first, Butch was afraid of everything, but with steady care, the traumatized dog learned to trust—and play—again.

Rescuing Animals from the Front Lines

When heavy artillery strikes devastated the city of Toretsk, Ukraine, PETA-supported rescuers rushed to the front lines to save animals caught in the crossfire.

Dogs were crying for help; cats were hiding in the ruins of destroyed houses, and other animals couldn’t stop shaking in terror. Thanks to generous donors, Animal Rescue Kharkiv (supported by PETA’s Global Compassion Fund) was able to rescue 135 animals in just 72 hours.

Your support makes this lifesaving work possible. Will you rush an emergency relief package right now and provide care to more animals?

Thanks to a generous group of donors supporting PETA's work, an additional gift of $75 will be made to benefit our Investigations & Rescue Fund for each new monthly donor who gives via this form until December 31, 2025, or until the $75,000 campaign goal is met. Donations made after the goal has been met will not qualify for the extra $75 gift, but they'll still make a tremendous difference to animals.

All funds donated through virtual aid packages will go to PETA’s Global Compassion Fund to help animals in Ukraine and elsewhere.

By giving $  per month, you will help provide lifesaving rescue, food, and care for animals when they need it most throughout the year. Plus, when you give monthly today, a generous donor will donate an extra $75 in your honor—helping even more animals!
