Urge Companies to Run Away From SeaWorld’s 5K Promotions

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

SeaWorld has a long history of exploiting dolphins, whales, and other animals for profit. To help fund its abusive operations and draw guests in, the company holds events like the Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run in San Diego in October, which BODYARMOR, Road Runner Sports, and Raising Cane’s are sponsoring. Please urge these companies not to fund SeaWorld’s cruelty.

At SeaWorld, orcas, who can swim up to 150 miles a day in the ocean with their pods, are kept in tanks so small that all they can do is swim in endless circles and can’t escape attacks from other orcas. Lonely and frustrated, orcas often break their teeth gnawing on the tanks’ metal bars and concrete walls. And while SeaWorld was forced to end its deplorable orca-breeding program, it still forcibly impregnates other dolphins, sometimes after drugging them.

Nearly every company that had supported SeaWorld—including JetBlue, Mattel, Mott’s, Southwest Airlines, STA Travel, and Taco Bell—has severed ties with the abusement park. BODYARMOR, Road Runner Sports, and Raising Cane’s need to follow suit.

Please use the form below to urge these companies to stop sponsoring events at SeaWorld.
