Meat at a Climate Summit? Urge Nest to Serve Only Vegan Food

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Nest Climate Campus, the largest climate event series in the U.S., has acknowledged to PETA the overwhelming evidence linking animal agriculture to the climate catastrophe, yet still plans to serve meat and dairy at its September summit.

Manure lagoons are large man-made basins filled with animal waste from factory farms. These cesspools produce deadly gases and pollute local waterways and soil, plaguing nearby communities and contributing to global warming.

Raising animals for food is a leading driver of deforestation, water pollution, biodiversity loss, and greenhouse gas emissions. Factory farms, manure lagoons, and feed crops are devastating ecosystems and accelerating the climate crisis.

Researchers at the University of Oxford found that vegan living is the single most effective way to reduce our environmental footprint, and climate leaders must not ignore this.

It is essential that Nest acts on the values it promotes by serving climate-friendly vegan food. Please use the form below to demand that Nest show real climate leadership by committing to an all-vegan menu at its event series.
