Science, Not Violence: Tell Congress to Fund Only Animal-Free Research

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Congress is considering a proposed 40 percent cut to the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) multi-billion-dollar annual budget—and with your help, cruel and useless experiments on animals may be the first line item on the chopping block.

NIH spends nearly half its annual budget—about $23 billion in 2023—on experiments on animals that overwhelmingly fail to produce treatments or cures for humans.

But recently, under the Trump administration, the agency has been shaking up the scientific status quo for the better by reducing tests on animals and instead directing much-needed resources toward animal-free research methods.

Congress must now follow NIH’s lead and allocate funding for state-of-the-art human-relevant research that helps patients, benefits taxpayers, and most importantly, saves millions of animals from being sickened, mutilated, and killed in pointless experiments.

Support Science, Not Violence

Please TAKE ACTION and urge your legislators to support funding for only animal-free research methods, such as those outlined in PETA scientists’ Research Modernization NOW.
