Dallas Animal Services (DAS) and the Teague Police Department have posted that Jake and Spot were voluntarily surrendered by the adopters who were photographed abusing them, and have been returned to DAS. This is a relief but without changes in policies and practices and DAS, animals at the facility are not safe.

Please urge city officials to stop dangerous free giveaways and ensure that sensible adoption policies are instituted at DAS.
