Bullfighting is a violent spectacle built on fear, pain, and bloodshed. Bulls are deliberately tormented, stabbed, and weakened before being killed—all for sick entertainment. These intelligent, sensitive animals experience terror and extreme suffering from the moment they enter the ring.

Most people oppose bullfighting, and cities across Mexico are rejecting this cruelty. Yet bullfights are scheduled to take place in Villa de Álvarez on February 10 and 17. The mayor of Villa de Álvarez has the power to cancel these events. Please urge city officials to act and protect bulls from needless abuse.
Bullfights violate Article 4 of the Constitution, the General Law of Animal Health, and NOM 033; therefore, they are illegal. Additionally, more than 70% of Mexicans consider them an act of cruelty to animals and do not support them.
