Lions and Tigers at Fairs, Oh My! Ask Venues to Stop Hosting Traveling Big Cat Acts

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Many circuses are dropping animal acts altogether, but a couple of prominent performers from circus families continue to travel the country with lions and tigers, making the animals perform unnatural tricks in tiny, temporary holding pens and live out of trailers for months at a time. These are literally some of the last traveling acts that exhibit lions and tigers, risking their own lives and those of the animals for human entertainment. Please join us in asking venues to stop hosting these cruel acts.

Brunon Blaszak inherited his circus act from his mother, after a tiger bit through her arm. Since taking over, several tigers have died mysteriously under his care, and he has been cited repeatedly for failing to provide tigers with enough space or exercise time as they travel from city to city. Big cats continue to suffer at every venue that books cruel acts like this.

Then there is Felicia Frisco—the youngest in a long line of Frisco family members who have exploited elephants, lions, tigers, and other animals in the circus for decades. Her uncle, Tim Frisco, was caught violently beating elephants to force them to perform unnatural circus tricks. Felicia’s dad, Terry Frisco, continues to show elephants with the circus, while Felicia herself runs the family’s traveling lion and tiger act. Felicia hauls lions and tigers across the country, puts them into small temporary enclosures, and forces them to perform unnatural, circus-style tricks. Venues that book Frisco’s “Tiger Encounter” are not supporting conservation efforts and are contributing to the continued exploitation of these big cats.

Please use the form below to contact venues that are planning to host Felicia Frisco or Brunon Blaszak, and politely ask them to reconsider booking entertainment that exploits wild animals.
