For more than 50 years, Eastern Virginia Medical School’s Gerald Pepe has subjected baboons to nightmarish pregnancy experiments. His latest atrocities include injecting pregnant baboons with hormones and cutting out and killing their babies at various stages of gestation. Baboons were condemned to endure this gruesome cycle again and again. When they were allowed to carry to term, Pepe ripped their babies away shortly after birth and used them in invasive tests. When he lost permission to perform more than one major survival surgery per baboon, Pepe killed them—despite PETA’s offer to place them in a sanctuary. We need your help to stop such monstrous experimenters. PETA has an unparalleled track record of exposing and ending crude and cruel tests. Following our relentless campaign, the lights went out on Margaret Livingstone’s dark experiments on baby monkeys—in which she stole them from their mothers, sewed their eyelids shut, and left them like that for up to a year. But Murray, Pepe, and other architects of agony are still at large. Will you help protect monkeys, baboons, dogs, cats, and all animals from being terrorized, mutilated, and killed in laboratories by making a gift to PETA’s “Stop Animal Testing” Challenge right now? Your gift today will be matched for TWICE the impact—up to our $500,000 goal—thanks to Bob and Judy Clark and other committed PETA donors. Monkeys and all other victims of experimenters are counting on us. Please give as generously as you can.
