Celebrate PETA’s ‘Giving for Animals Day’—All Gifts MATCHED!

Donate Now

With the help of this community, PETA has liberated animals for nearly five decades. Together, we’ve shut down cruel experiments; exposed the horrors of the meat, egg, and dairy industries; freed animals from filthy cages; and rescued those who have no other hope. But many more abused and neglected animals still urgently need our help.

PETA’s 46th birthday is August 21, and to celebrate, we’re holding our annual Giving for Animals Day! Every gift to this campaign will be matched, doubling your impact for animals—up to our $46,000 goal.

In honor of PETA’s birthday, you can give an abused animal the ultimate gift: love, and the chance of freedom.

We’ve set a deadline of August 21 to raise $46,000 through PETA’s “Giving for Animals Day” Matching-Gift Challenge. Gifts made after that date or after our goal has been met will not be matched, but they’ll still make a tremendous difference in our work to protect all animals.

PETA entities have more than 10.4 million members and supporters globally, and PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world.

In the last year alone, the support of committed donors helped us achieve the following:

We are a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation funded almost exclusively by the contributions of individual donors like you. Your gift is an investment in our work, which is why we strive to use our funds in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible. In 2025, over 83% of our operating expenses went directly to our programs fighting animal exploitation.

Bank Routing & Account Numbers

To make a payment directly from your U.S. bank account, you will need to provide the routing number for your bank, as well as your account number. Both of these numbers can be found at the bottom of a check issued for your bank account.

At the bottom of your check you will find three numbers - the routing number which is always 9 digits long for U.S. banks, the account number which can be up to 17 digits long, and the check number which will match the number found in the upper right corner of the check. These sets of numbers can appear in a variety of orders on your check. However, you will always find the routing number surrounded by this symbol ACH Routing Symbol, and the account number will always be to the left of this symbol ACH Account Symbol.

Please use the image below for an example of how your routing and account numbers may appear on your check.

Sample Check:

The routing number comes first and is surrounded by the ACH Routing Symbol symbol, the account number comes next and is followed by the ACH Account Symbol symbol.

The CVV2 is shown as 3 digits after the credit card number on the back of the card.
